before Hiam, commits to any work of art, be that a song or an acting role she studies her steps and the works presented to her, as for songs and after careful examination, she picks the words, poetic lyrics and beautiful tunes that suit her voice and unique talent and meets the demands of her public.

She was one of few artists who made their way to stardom through talent and education and her rely on god to overcome the numerous obstacles that she has been facing in her career… since her early beginnings she new that god has given her a beautiful voice so she worked on perfecting this talent since childhood to achieve her great dream in spite of her parents strong objection.

Hiam who started her artistic career at a very early age was born in a modest family in the city of Zahle in Bekaa, the city of poetry, literature, and beautiful voices, a city who has preserved the folk mountaineering heritage. Her father Sami Homsy was a taxi driver and her mother Zeina was a housewife who took care of her family. She studied in Saint John the Baptist school, the Jesuits sisters' school then in Salma Alsayegh school in Ashrafieh. After finishing the first secondary class she studied to be an executive secretary in the international technical institute CIT in Dora and graduated when she was 17 year old.

Hiam started working at the early age of 11 years in order to pay her tuition fees and help support her family, she started working as a nurse in Saint George 's hospital then she went on to work as a cosmetics representative, after that she worked in an engineering firm in Badaro, while continuing to sing at night.
